Learning new practices have always been to me the most fulfilling experience. By trying out something new and getting into all the aspects of making, I have been able to nourish my curiosity and realise how important it is to engage with various creative processes. Back in October 2020, while on a curatorial residency at PADA studios, I had the opportunity to make ceramics, and access the workshop that resident artists used daily. Alongside curating exhibitions and supporting the artists and the residency programme, I have spent time shaping clay, applying glazes and learning how to embrace patience, praying against kiln drama. Making ceramics has taught me how to handle material but also to play with chance. Trained as a designer and thinking my curatorial practice through creating and working closely with artists, I was so thrilled to get back into making.

I never thought I would grow this interest in ceramics further but after the feedback on the first collection, I am considering creating a very limited edition in 2021. Stay tuned !
